The news of their separation and subsequent divorce comes as the American rock band isbattling it out with Dua Lipa for the top spot on the UK charts with their new album, The New Abnormal.
'Julian split from Juliet about a year ago but has been determined to keep it private, but now he's moved on and he can't really pretend it hasn't happened any more,' a source told The Sun.

The source added that the new couple, who met during one of the band's US tours, 'have been getting really close for months and now they're pretty inseparable.'
In fact, they've been spotted out together at some big event and concerts over the last several months before the coronavirus pandemic hit a fever pitch in March.

Casablancas and Joslin, who was previously The Stroke's assistant manager, were married in 2005 and share two children together: Cal, 10, and Zephyr, five
'With love and respect, Julian and Juliet chose to end their marriage over a year ago,' said a spokesperson for Casablancas.
'They are happily raising their boys together. Out of respect for his family, he will not be discussing this aspect of his persona life any further.'

Beginning in February, The Strokes released three singles --At The Door, Bad Decisions and Brooklyn Bridge To Chorus -- before dropping The New Abnormal on April 10.
It is their first full-length studio album since 2013's Comedown Machine.
The band, which was founded in New York City, released their debut album, Is This It, in 2001 to widespread critical acclaim as part of the indie/garage rock revival in the early 2000s.
It ranks number 8 on Rolling Stones' Best Debut Albums Of All Time and number 199 on the music publication's 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time.
NME ranks it number 4 on its 500 Best Albums Of All Time.
