How to make an Easter Candy Board
- ASSEMBLE. Decide items that will be placed in bowls. Place bowls randomly on the board with space in between (odd numbers always look best).
- FILL. Prepare other ingredients that you wish to use. Consider the colors, tastes, and textures, and try to spread them evenly over the board. Fill in the areas around the bowls.
- EXTRAS. You don’t have to overfill the board to get everything on. Set out a sample of each ingredient and set the extras aside. Refill the board as needed.
Assembling Tips
- The board. No board – no worries! Use any large platter, a clean wooden cutting board, or an edged sheet pan covered in parchment paper.
- Bowls. Small bowls are great to use to help contain little candies. Another idea is to use a large easter shaped cookie cutter. Place the cookie cutter on the board and fill it with candy.
- Serving. Set out some small serving utensils, plates, and napkins.
For More Ideas
- Additional candies. Mini chocolate bunnies or chocolate carrots, cookies, pastel Hershey Kisses, Easter egg candy, jelly beans, chocolate eggs, Easter bunnies fruit snacks, and Robin Eggs.
- Nuts. pistachios, pecans, almonds, or macadamia. They can be raw, roasted, or candied like our Candied Almonds and Candied Pecans.
- Coated pretzels.Buy ready in the bakery section or make your own by dipping pretzels in melted white almond bark.
- Place dipped pretzels on waxed or parchment paper and sprinkle with your favorite Easter-colored sprinkles while the almond bark is still melty. They will harden in 5-10 minutes.
- Homemade sweets. Add a few of your favorite homemade spring treats like these Mini Lemon Drop Cakes, Mini Fruit Tarts with fresh berries, Easter Basket Cookie Cups, or Easter Sugar Cookies that look like bird’s nests.
Check out our savory Easter Charcuterie Board that features cheese & crackers, vegetables & fruits, and delicious deli meats making it the perfect Easter brunch idea!
Storing Before and After
- Make ahead of time. The items included in this Easter candy board are nonperishable, so they can be made ahead of time and left out at room temperature. If including items that need to be stored until serving, keep them in individual Ziploc bags until you’re ready to assemble the board.
- Replenish. It’s a good idea to have extra items on hand to replenish the charcuterie board as needed.
- STORE. Keep leftover items stored in separate containers to enjoy later.
